First steps include extensive analysis in conjunction with your team to determine the optimal operating strategy for any given asset or situation.
DPO's analysis includes evaluation of your generation asset's capacity, operating costs, current operations and revenue plan, available grid pricing and other offtake, capacity factor, etc.
Once a deployment plan has been created, DPO will execute on the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) phase including assistance with financing, project layout, electrical and networking infrastructure, and oversight of the physical build-out of the data center.
DPO will source, inspect, install, and operate servers in the data center that are ideally matched to the power generation profile of your asset, passing along all free cash flow.
DPO will continue to customize operations to match changing generation profiles, power price curves, equipment efficiency and data center profitability.
DPO only collects a fee once the data center is operational and generating cash flow.

For power companies who aren’t ready to vertically integrate, DPO can build our own flexible data center on-site.
This structure gives our power partners a way to manage their revenues while limiting potential downsides, with little to no up-front cost to themselves. DPO can bring its own capital to the table and build a resource on your site that gets you more money for your power. When grid demand is high, the load is curtailed and all power production is sold into the grid.

Many power producers have already been approached by parties interested in building some type of load at their sites. DPO helps these companies sort through their options, sitting on the same side of the table, to get to a structure that works best for the power producer.
DPO also has extensive expertise in deal structuring, with special emphasis on the nuances relating to flexible loads and their relationships with the power and energy sector.
