Over his career, Matt has built a deep understanding of power markets, along with their inefficiencies. Combining this with his experience navigating the regulatory environment, he is focused on building a more efficient market through developing best practices for optimizing energy assets with Bitcoin.

Matt joined DPO in 2021. Prior to DPO, Matt spent over 7 years between NIPSCO (a regulated Indiana utility) and Gridliance. Matt started his career in operations planning at US Steel in NW Indiana.

Away from DPO, Matt manages E&D Strategists. This nonprofit seeks to help implement alternative power sources in Indiana, while also helping low-income communities gain access to low-cost clean power.

Matt holds a B.S. from Purdue University Calumet, majoring in Finance, Economics and Accounting. He has also earned CFA level II certification.
